Becky tagged me. I tried to cut and paste the cute logo thing here but it didn't show up. Oh well.
So - here we go -
Eleven things about me.

1. I'm very excited that Julie is expecting.

2. I too wish Sandy had a blog.

3. I won't tag anyone.

4. I am finding Downton more and more ridiculous. uHH! Did I really just say that? Yep.

5. Greg gave me fabulous cute hiking socks and fun striped PJs on Valentine's Day.

6. I have a spoon ring that Ed made me when he was in metal shop - I think he was in high school and I could have been in Jr high or high school. I wore it all the time. I don't know when I stopped wearing it but I have had it all these years. And a month ago I learned that spoon rings are in and so I let Claire wear it. It's not fancy but I love it and have started wearing it again.

7. This is about Claire but I think it is fun - She is going on a blind date with the cousin of one of her friends. When I was in college, I went on a blind date with Claire's friend's mom's cousin. What?? Did that make sense?

8. I've never eaten one of Claire's cupcakes without asking (and paying). Nor have I ever eaten any of the milk chocolate chips that she uses to make her frosting - without asking.

9. I generally have 8 pairs of glasses. I put them in strategic places for my use so I don't have to wear glasses around my neck. One pair by the computer/worn in the family room; another in the kitchen, they sit on top of the scriptures; one in my purse; one by my bed; one in my Sunday scripture bag; one in between the seats of the car I most often drive; and one pair that are magnifier sunglasses that I rarely use outside but keep in a drawer in the kitchen and if i can't find my kitchen glasses fast enough I sometimes will put the sunglasses on. The past two weeks I have misplaced the kitchen glasses - they can't be anywhere but in the house and I can't find them anywhere. And on Monday my car glasses broke. I was sitting in the car visiting with my vt companion - we were signing Valentine Cards and I took the glasses off and the left ear holder thing stayed on my ear! when I took the glasses off. Funny but disappointing. And then - not magnifiers - my regular sunglasses on Tuesday broke in my purse. Someone with so many glasses is bound to break a lot of glasses but two in two days? But also, someone with so many glasses generally buys very cheap glasses - which I do. I should expect them all to break soon I guess.

10. I wear a red watch in February.

11. I've never gotten a ticket. Well, now that I've said that... I got pulled over a block away from home because a police man thought my children weren't wearing seat belts but they were but Eric was not sitting in his seat properly - he was on his knees and had the shoulder strap going under his arm. No, No. I got cited - i guess. I paid a fine.



Becky's questions:

1. What is the funniest joke you know? -
I don't know - I don't know many jokes. But one of the funniest stories I've ever heard is the one about Sam wanting the wax put back in his ear.

2. Who is your favorite Disney Princess? -
Belle hmmmm Cinderella hmmmm I'm not good at this. I have favorites for all different reasons -
but have you seen that write up about what the hang ups are of all the Disney Princesses? I haven't seen it but have heard about it - I need to look that up.

3. If you had the money and time, would you come visit me in Michigan? Honestly.
Yes

4. If you could travel anywhere in the world, where would you go, who would go with you and how long would you like to stay? Very sad - I don't know. I have a hang up with self defeating behavior, one being, if it takes work and I don't have to do it I won't do it. So - travel takes planning and that's work. I won't do it. However, I do know I would take Greg. Any trip we've ever gone on Greg has been the master mind behind it. Any trip we haven't gone on probably is because I pooh poohed it. He's game for everything I am game for nothing. It's a chore to live with me.

5. What piece of furniture in your house is your favorite or that you are most happy with? (picture?)
The red chair in the living room - I love the colors, I love the flowers - every color in the living area of our house has been planned around this chair.

6. What is your favorite season? Why?
Spring. The air warms up, the days are longer, the plants wake up, buds and blooms are everywhere. And I love to plant seeds! Me, sun, seeds and dirt - good friends in the Spring.

7. If you could pick any calling in the church, what would you choose? (not aspire to, choose)
librarian - Think of all the people you'd see and get to visit with and help. And very low pressure.

8. Do you believe there is one right person for us to marry (promises in heaven and such) or do you think that any two people willing to put forth the effort could make any marriage work?
Any two people willing to put forth the effort could make a marriage work.
"Do you love me? Do I love you? for 25 years I've washed your clothes..."
Claire's in "Fiddler on the Roof" - the song came to me right away.

Does their marriage work? Is that the marriage we hope for? Should we? What do we hope for our children? What is love in marriage? All we need to do is serve unselfishly? Is that a working marriage? Their children married for love - there should be a Fiddler 2 so we can find out how their marriages turned out.

9. What is included in your vision of "The Perfect Day?"
No pressing deadlines.

10. Which would you rather, sweat moderately but constantly 24 hours a day all over your body or have a metal pin in your jaw that constantly picks up talk radio stations?
So funny! I'd rather sweat - I'd move to a climate where everyone sweats all the time.

11. If you could get your hair to look anyway you wanted, style, color, length, etc. what would it look like? (picture?)
I don't know - that is a problem. And I have a hair appointment today. I like my hair short - it is easy but I think I look older with my short hair - so I've been growing it long - but it takes too much time to make it look the way I want it to so I don't do it - so most of the time I'm not happy with my hair. I don't peruse through magazines so never have examples for my stylist when I go to get it cut. In fact I hardly say anything besides "I'm still growing it" and maybe some vague instruction about what to do on top and sides. I do know I will not go longer. Today I will ask her to take some of it off.
I'm not always grateful for the curl in my hair, it keeps my hair from looking "just" the way I want it - but all this *great* curl I'm told I should just give into it and let the curl determine my style but I never look good when I do that, I don't think anyway. So I just went looking for what I'd like and I seriously do not know! I did always like Princess Diana's short hair and I wore my hair like that for many years but I don't want to go short again - yet. There is a PBS program called Rosemary and Thyme - I don't now who is who but I have liked the blond characters hair - but it is kind of Princess Diana-ish but longer. Hair.
